At Arrow Coach Lines our involvement in the community is something we hold very close to our hearts. Throughout the years we have found several ways to take part in filling needs expressed by some of our local organizations. We take great pride in sharing our buses and motorcoach vehicles with organizations that stand to benefit from our participation.
Arrow Coach Lines donates time and resources to local law enforcement entities. These assets are used in training scenarios which prepare officers and S.W.A.T to handle situations ranging from illegal activity and transport to terrorism. Through our continued efforts and collaboration we hope to enhance the lives of the citizens of Little Rock by providing one more avenue for our law enforcement professionals to use in acquiring the skills and confidence to protect our community. However, our participation in community affairs isn't limited to just law enforcement.
Annually we provide a chartered motorcoach to the March of Dimes, the leading non-profit organization for pregnancy and baby health. They use that as an auction item during their "Signature Chef" fund raiser which pays tribute to the culinary excellence of local chefs from Little Rock while raising significant revenue to help in the fight to save babies.
Another great organization we contribute to is the Arkansas Activities Association. They are a local organization that promotes the value of participation in interscholastic activities within member schools. We are always happy to provide them with motorcoach transportation free of charge. Arrow Coach Lines has subsequently been awarded the "Business Partner of the Year" award three times by AAA. Another organization we enjoy providing services to is the Arkansas School for the Deaf. We provide transportation services whenever they are needed, we also provide cash contributions for their Silent Sunday event. The school was generous enough to present Arrow Coach Lines with the "Friends of the School Award" for outstanding contributions to the quality education of deaf and hard of hearing students.
We currently have three of our transit buses equipped with handicapped access for passengers with special needs. We specifically use these vehicles for conventions and other local services. One of our 55 passenger motorcoach buses is also equipped with a wheelchair lift if our passengers need access for a longer trip. All of these vehicles are equipped with wheelchair tie downs to secure our passengers during the trip. We have also trained all of our drivers in the operation of this equipment and they update their information and training frequently.
Arrow Coach Lines intends to continue supporting our local community in the future. We will be donating transportation to worthy causes as well as maintaining our ongoing relationship with the March of Dimes, the Arkansas Activities Association and the Arkansas School for the Deaf. As we upgrade our equipment we will continue to allow local law enforcement to gain training on our vehicles.
With our goals of community involvement and public safety at the top of our list we feel confident in becoming a prominent member of the Little Rock business community. Other goals include the continued fostering of an environment conducive to continuing to provide our customers with an affordable, safe and comfortable travel experience for an affordable price. Will will strive to exceed our customers needs not matter the size of their party.
